Finance

At Boston Renewables we recognise that one of the biggest questions regarding an investment in a renewable energy system is how to cover the initial capital costs.

In order to allow you to make a commercial decision based upon your individual financial situation we are able to provide a number of finance options:

Self-funding

Your business pays the total cost of the system and installation and receives 100% of the income and benefit from Feed in Tariff, export payments and generated electricity used on site.

Full Financed

Using a bank or a specialist renewable energy finance provider loan for the system and installation, your business will benefit from 100% of the income and benefit from Feed in Tariff, export payments and generated electricity used on site. Repayments on the loan are funded via the new income stream to the business.

Free to fit

Your business pays nothing, as all costs of the system and installation are taken care of by a funding provider. The funding provider retains the Feed in Tariff and export payments, while your business benefits from the electricity generated via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Electricity purchased through a PPA will always be at a discount to current market rates. These agreements usually also offer full transfer of ownership to the business after an agreed number of years and for the remainder of the life of the system.

Equity Share

Part of the installation costs are covered by your business and part are covered by a funding provider. And, similar to Free Fit, the funding provider retains the Feed in Tariff and export payments and your business can use 100% of the energy generated. Again, after time, the ownership of the system transfers to your business for the remainder of its life.
