Fossil Fuels Fall To Record Low in UK Energy Mix – Thanks to Renewable Energy

The proportion of the UK’s power generation mix made up by fossil fuels has fallen to a record low. As a result, renewable energy has become the UK’s largest source of electricity.
Renewable energy narrowly overtook gas-fired power which made up 38.8% of the electricity mix.
It is fantastic to see that Renewable sources are now the largest origin of electricity generation in the UK.
